Farm Silver by repeating a Land you can clear reliably, collecting the Silver from boss tombstones, and completing unfinished quests along the way. Since 0.9.13, every boss drops at least 50 Silver. Start with a specific purchase in mind, keep completed quest bonuses out of your repeat-run estimate, and move to a harder Land when its extra income covers the extra time and failed attempts.
Gold improves this run; Silver buys future options
Gold is the in-run experience used to gain levels and upgrades. Silver is the currency for permanent purchases such as modules, Artifacts, Captains, and vehicles. If you are searching for “Gold farming” to buy Spiderburg, check the Silver balance on the purchase screen.
Players describe a conversion from collected Gold to Silver at the results screen in a September 9 currency discussion. For your farming decision, record the Silver actually added to your account. That includes the result you are saving toward and avoids relying on a conversion estimate with unidentified modifiers.
Follow a repeatable boss-pickup routine
- Choose a familiar Land and loadout that reaches bosses consistently. Take a build you can already equip, then keep it stable while comparing income.
- Collect reachable Gold on the way so the main attack gains upgrades. Keep an escape route rather than turning a currency detour into a costly fight.
- After defeating a boss, locate its tombstone and collect the drop when the route is safe. Boss kills and pickups are separate actions.
- At the results screen, compare your Silver balance with the balance before the run. Note any quest completed during the attempt.
- Repeat until the purchase target is covered. Buy the piece that makes the planned loadout usable, then practise it before raising difficulty.
Collectible boss tombstones were added in 0.9.9; the minimum boss reward was added in 0.9.13. At the minimum reward, one, two, three, and four collected boss drops contribute 50, 100, 150, and 200 Silver respectively. Other earnings are additional; these figures are a boss-drop subtotal.
Use unfinished quests as a purchase boost
Before entering, check the Land's objectives and your current progress. The community quest reference lists these early Green Plains goals:
| Objective | Progress window | Listed Silver reward | How to approach it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consume 100 units | One run | 500 | Pick safe consumable targets and keep the count within the same attempt. |
| Destroy 20 Rams | Across runs | 1,000 | Track enemy Ram kills; equipping your own Ram is a different action. |
| Destroy 5 Harvesters | Across runs | 2,500 | Continue the active counter across attempts rather than forcing five into one run. |
The values are from the community quest reference, reviewed October 10. Match the objective wording and reward to your in-game quest panel before counting it in a purchase plan. Count an objective's payout once when completed; remove it from the next run's expected income unless the game explicitly offers a new quest.
Budget the missing piece first
| Purchase goal | Published cost | Boss drops if each pays only 50 Silver |
|---|---|---|
| Dash movement module | 600 | 12 |
| Fire Mage Top module | 2,000 | 40 |
| Spiderburg chassis | 2,500 | 50 |
These are conservative boss-only calculations from a zero balance, not measured run counts. Gold conversion, quests, and larger drops can reduce the number of bosses needed. Dash and Fire Mage prices come from the September 9 module report; Spiderburg's price comes from the community vehicle reference. Use the live price if it differs.
Calculate purchase price minus current Silver balance before choosing another farm. If a 600-Silver Dash purchase is your goal and you already have 450, the gap is 150: three minimum boss drops cover that gap. This is more useful than planning from the full shop price every time.
For Spiderburg, completing Golden Dunes unlocks the vehicle task, while purchasing the chassis and owning another Top module are separate preparations. See How to Unlock Spiderburg before spending your entire balance on the vehicle alone.
Compare difficulty and Overtime by actual income
Use repeatable Silver gained divided by total attempt time. Include loading, menus, and failed attempts. Remove one-time quest payouts from the numerator when comparing a route you intend to repeat.
For illustration, three attempts taking ten minutes each and adding 120, 120, and 0 repeatable Silver yield 240 ÷ 30 = 8 Silver per minute. Looking only at the two completed attempts would give 12 and overstate the route. These numbers illustrate the calculation; they are not recorded Wanderburg rewards.
For Overtime, compare the Silver gained after the ordinary clear with the extra minutes spent there. Keep the ordinary-clear subtotal separate so a long survival run does not hide low extra income. If Overtime repeatedly ends before another useful pickup, repeat the familiar clear while saving toward the missing movement or damage option.
Should you use Kapitalstus Maximus?
Check the Captain's Silver bonus and the current Gold penalty on the selection screen. Official 0.9.10 notes reduce Kapitalstus Maximus's in-run Gold penalty to 15%, so the bonus has an upgrade-economy cost during the run. Compare completed runs with the same Land and your usual Captain before making a purchase solely for farming.
If the Captain earns more on a win but causes more failed attempts, compare the combined Silver and time of all attempts. An affordable module that lets your main attack connect or gives you a safe exit can be a more immediate route to the next purchase. For the other Captain trade-offs, use Captains.

Reviewed October 10, 2026. Official 0.9.9, 0.9.10, and 0.9.13 establish boss pickups, the Captain penalty, and the reward floor. Currency behavior is player-reported; quest and purchase values are attributed to the linked community and published reporting. Budgets and income comparisons are original arithmetic, not a site-timed fastest-farm benchmark.
