Wanderburg Guide editorial and verification policy

Wanderburg Guide is an independent fan-made reference. It is not affiliated with Randwerk, Sidekick Publishing, Valve, Discord, YouTube, or any other rights holder or platform.

What this site publishes

We publish practical, independently localized English and German pages about Wanderburg when a page has a clear player question, a defined scope, and a source we can identify. First-release pages focus on release availability, official announcements, the documented core loop, and support information. Each published Wiki page includes an updated date and the build or source boundary used for its review.

How we verify facts

Primary sources take priority: the official Wanderburg website, the official Steam store listing, Steam Community announcements from the game, and verified official community links. We may use reputable industry reporting for background when it is clearly labeled as context. We do not treat search snippets, unverified social posts, copied wiki text, old videos, or download-page claims as proof.

Early Access facts can change. When a statement depends on a patch, availability window, price, supported language, or platform, we state the review date and link readers to the current official source. We do not publish a permanent “best” ranking solely because an old build, demo, or video looked persuasive.

How we label player evidence

We label a patch fact as Officially confirmed when it comes from Randwerk, Steam's store record, Steam achievements, or another first-party source. We label an observation as Site-tested only when the guide records the build, setup, scenario, and reproducible result. We label a forum or Discord question as Community-reported until it is independently reproduced; it can shape a FAQ or test queue, but it cannot establish a mechanic by itself.

For practical loadouts and unlock walkthroughs, we can report a named player's setup or an attributed published reference, with the original date and any relevant patch changes. We distinguish those reported configurations from our recommendations about order, positioning, and purchase budgets. A source review is not a recorded gameplay test, and an arithmetic example is not a measured farming rate. Comparative claims such as fastest or strongest require comparable results.

The site also separates the newest official build from the build each individual page has actually reviewed. A newer official patch can therefore make a page show a visible review-pending notice rather than silently changing its version label. This prevents a single homepage update from overstating the freshness of every guide.

Corrections and updates

Send a correction to [email protected]. Include the page URL, the claim that needs correction, a direct source URL, and the relevant date or game build. We review credible corrections and update, qualify, or remove a statement when the evidence requires it.

Scope limits

This site does not distribute game files, cracks, torrents, unofficial patches, or save files. It does not publish private personal information. A missing page or an explicitly unverified question is not a claim that the subject does not exist; it means the page has not yet met this site's source standard.
